www.makeawish.de went online today with new layouts, designs and a free hosting by itechWorks. All Make-A-Wish national organizations worldwide have already fulfilled wishes for more than 300,000 life-threatening children, making them the largest and most renowned wish-fulfillment organization worldwide.
We at itechWorks programmed the pages and are hosting this project for free because we hope to make the world with this project a little bit better.
We implemented the pages as partner of Make-A-Wish. The cmsWorks BE content management system stood behind the new pages. In addition to the new and clearer appearance, the main task for itechWorks was to greatly simplify the maintenance of the content and get the content into the foreground. The TYPO3 - Content Management System from Make-A-Wish was therefor replaced by the CMS cmsWorks from itechWorks.
Laura Eckerl, CEO Make-A-Wish Germany: "We are very happy that we have the opportunity to work with this new, great system and to be able to present our organization and our work better and more clearly."
Jürgen Melchhammer, Managing Director itechWorks: "When we became the Make-A-Wish partner for the new site, we were really more than happy to support that idea. Even employees volunteered to work for free for Make-A.Wish. It was a great concern and honor for us to do this project. We all wanted to make the Make-A-Wish site "a success", so that the Make-A-Wish children may perhaps be able to fulfill their wishes a little bit easier."
