cmsWorks as one of the first webapps

Mobile app with CMS cmsWorks

The new web app from SPOX.com for all mobile devices is online. It combines the display of the latest news and events from the world of sport in a contemporary, smartphone and tablet app-like interface for practically all end devices that run operating systems such as iOS, Android, Blackberry or Bada.

From today on, the new web app from SPOX.com deliveres sports contents for all modern mobile devices. Everyone may can access news about sports, reports, results and live tickers with their home computer, smartphone or tablet via http://m.spox.com.

"Webapps" are basically internet pages accessed via the browser of the respective device, but the appearance and functionality correspond to standalone client applications as they, more likely, may "feel natural".

In contrast to native applications, the "web approach" offers decisive advantages. The SPOX web app was developed in such a way that it can be used to operate all modern end devices across platforms. Changes are immediately available to everyone without installing an update. The development, on the other hand, was simplified by the high level of integration into the core of the cmsWorks content management system. All content and possibilities of the content management system were immediately available to the web app without any (technical) detours, which saved much time and costs during development and maked it easier to maintain and change the web app in the future.

Because of the implementation details and the migrates from the client to the server, it also was seamlessly possible to integrate data from third parties, like "live events", or pushing APIs from Google and Apple. This way it was best-of-breed for our clients, and third partiy-integrators. A win-win-win with cmsWorks.
